This design by Natoyihkii pays homage to old beadwork styles of Blackfoot Women depicting the Milky way or Makoyoohsokoyi (Blackfoot for Wolf Trail). For stars, the use of Elk Teeth were common and also utilized as a status symbol. Traditional white background, given that Blackfoot Women used to tan their hides white, associated with one of our Creation Stories.
